I provide advice and representation in all forums (litigation, arbitration, conciliation, mediation and adjudication), specialising in construction, financial and general commercial matters. This includes drawing on my previous 20 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor, developer and business owner to ensure parties prepare claims including for all possible matters.
Combining my previous experience as a professional in the Construction and Property Industry and my present career as a barrister, I am available to act as arbitrator, adjudicator, mediator or conciliator.
I also offer advice under the Direct Professional Access Scheme to relevant construction professionals.
I am a practicing Barrister in Ireland and was previously a Quantity Surveyor for 20 years, having owned my own PQS practice, worked as builder's QS and held the position of client on numerous occasions. Prior to changing my career and becoming a barrister I specialised for many years in construction contract law and construction dispute resolution.
I am an Accredited Adjudicator and Mediator, a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, a member of the Society of Chartered Surveyors Ireland and the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. I am on the panel of arbitrators for the Society of Chartered Surveyors Ireland, the Construction Industry Federation and the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.
I am on the committee of the Irish branch of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, the Construction Bar Association and the Society of Chartered Surveyors Dispute Resolution Standing Committee.
